Coquitlam Stroke Recovery Club offers a variety of programs:

Speech Therapy

A registered speech and language pathologist provides individual and group speech maintenance classes with members who have speech deficits due to stroke.

Exercise

Our 45-minutes exercies class focuses on range of motion and strengthening movements.  It provides a combination of chair and standing exercises suitable for most people recovering from stroke.

Bocce

Indoor bocce (a game similar to carpet bowling) provides a physical and mental challenge twice monthly.

Games

Games provide opportunities for socializing, fun, challenge and growth.

Special Events

Throughout the year, we take part in a variety of special events held at Dogwood Pavilion and elsewhere: Robbie Burns luncheon, Multuicultural Tea, June Invitational luncheon, autumn pancake breakfast, Christmas luncheon and more...

Outings

Throughout the year we go on many outings.  For examples: picnics at local parks, golfing, theatres, casinos, restaurants and bus trips.

Guest Speakers

Speakers provide current health and human interest stories to keep us motivated.
