Transportation

For those using Translink buses, we are located at the Coquitlam Recreation Centre bus loop.  Many stroke club members use the door-to-door wheelchair accessible HandyDART system for transportation.  This service costs $2.25 each way.  HandyDART's phone number is 604-575-6600.

Care services and Facilities

The Fraser Health Authority provides a variety of services including assessment for nursing and homemaking services and information about adult day centres and care facilities.  For further information about home support or home nursing care call the Tri-Cities Continuing Care office at 604-777-7300.

Caregivers Support Group

The Tri-Cities Caregivers Support Network offers an organized support program at Dogwood Pavilion on the second and fourth Fridays of the month (except not in July and August) from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Contact Dogwood Pavilion at 604-927-6098.

Spouses and other caregivers of our stroke club members have opportunities to meet informally to support each other at our meetings and outside.  A telephone network keeps those wanting support in contact with one another.
